Interesting Questions – #1

In my Internet travels I have occasionally come across interesting questions that have made me stop and think. I have decided to share those questions – and my own answers – with you and invite you to share your own answers and to comment on mine. The question below was part of a list of questions posted by Robert Fulghum (author of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten) on his website.

Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't.What would you like to be learning now – if you had time?

There are a variety of things that I would like to learn about both formally and informally. The first thing that comes to mind (given the current state of my backyard) is gardening. I would love to turn my backyard into a park-like setting where my family and I can relax and spend time. I think the first thing I need to do however, is get a sprinkler system installed. All of my efforts until that is done are wasted because I get busy and forget to water. This is one hobby I hope to pick up and teach myself about once I am done with my doctoral degree.

Other things I would love to learn about include (in no particular order):
  • Constitutional Law
  • Educational Development
  • Public Administration
  • Ballroom Dancing
  • How to Sing
  • Archery
  • How to Play the Guitar & Read Music
  • Better Time Management
  • How to Train a Dog to Do Tricks
  • Human Psychology
  • Spanish
  • How to Draw
  • How to Meditate
  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi

How about you? How would you answer this question? Please share in the comments below…

Blacksmithing and other forms of metal working is at the top of the list. I think that I will take advantage of some of the courses available in our area, at some point.

I am constantly trying to learn more about photography, woodworking and computer programming. I include these, even though I make my living with computer programming. It’s important to keep learning.

The French language, French horn, and cello.
